A Hotel Where Your Dog Will Have A Kennel, Toys And Snacks

A hotel where your dog will have a kennel, toys and snacks

Traveling and taking your pet with you was unthinkable until recently. Furthermore, finding accommodation for both of them was even more difficult. However, everything is evolving and so-called “pet friendly” spaces are more and more numerous. This is the case of a hotel chain, Petit Palace Hotels, which operates in Madrid and other Spanish cities. Therefore, they allow you to access the comforts of a hotel where your dog, in addition to being accepted, also has a series of specific services available for him.

Traveling and staying with your dog no longer seems like a mission impossible

The company can be considered almost a pioneer in providing accommodation for dogs, cats and other animals since its inauguration in 2001. And nowadays the decision to welcome pets is, without a doubt, one of its distinguishing characteristics.

Think, therefore, that in addition to welcoming you and your family, in these hotels your dog will be welcomed with:

  • A bowl with high-end foods
  • A drinking trough
  • Snack
  • An indoor doghouse
  • Toys

The hotel where your dog is more than welcome

The hotels of this chain have specific rooms for guests staying with animals, which are not offered to other guests. In this way, we try to avoid any problems or complaints about lack of hygiene or allergies. The only area in the hotel where dogs and other pets are not allowed is the breakfast room.

However, the managers of the chain declare that the four-legged friends are no different from the other guests and that, as always, the responsibility for the correct or incorrect behavior of the animal lies with the owner.

Fortunately, little by little prejudices seem to disappear and animals are increasingly accepted in various places, according to the daily experience of those responsible for the activity .

Accommodation for pets of any size and hair

From the hotel chain they also say that it must be understood that animals are considered part of the family. For this reason,  although at first only small dogs were accepted, in 2014 they removed all limits regarding the size and hair of the animals.

In this way, like other similar establishments, they have found a way to cover a concrete niche of the market, previously limited to private apartments or small, less central structures. However, even if animals have been accepted in hotels in large cities and important seaside destinations for some time now, specialists maintain that the number of such facilities is still insufficient.

And this figure becomes more eloquent when compared with other important cities, especially American, considered more respectful of animals.

People with animals: very demanding guests

According to what the managers of this hotel chain have been able to establish,  people who stay with their pets are usually very demanding, since they prioritize the well-being of their four-legged friends and not the cost of services.

They also often book in advance to secure a place to stay with their pet and avoid unpleasant surprises. It is certainly not fun to walk around a city in search of a place where they will welcome us and our pet.

The fact is that many hotels that claim to be “pet friendly”, in fact, only accept pets up to a certain weight. For this reason, it is important to check the fine print and avoid being caught off guard, especially during the high season.

Don’t deprive yourself of traveling with your four-legged friend

Although there are still many places that do not accept pets, making use of excuses such as loud noises and dander everywhere, there is also the possibility of accessing more than one hotel where your dog will be welcome.

The chain we told you about, for example, has 31 hotels, 20 of which are in Madrid. The other offices are located in the following cities:

  • Barcelona
  • Bilbao
  • Valencia
  • Seville
  • rum raisin

So, if you would like to visit Spain (but not only), don’t deprive yourself of bringing your pet on your next business or leisure trip.
